Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions and answers about PDFNimble.

Privacy & Security

Are my files really processed locally?

Yes, absolutely. All PDF processing happens entirely in your browser using Web Workers and the pdf-lib library. Your files never leave your device.

Do you store my files on your servers?

No, we never store, save, or have access to any files you process. Everything happens locally in your browser.

Is my data tracked or analyzed?

We use privacy-safe analytics (Plausible) to understand usage patterns without tracking individual users or their files.

Technical Requirements

What browsers are supported?

PDFNimble works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. You need JavaScript enabled and Web Worker support.

Is there a file size limit?

PDFNimble processes files directly in your browser for maximum privacy. Very large files may take longer to process depending on your device's performance. If you encounter issues with a large file, try splitting it into smaller sections first.

Do I need to install any software?

No installation required. PDFNimble works entirely in your web browser.

Troubleshooting

Why is my PDF processing taking a long time?

Processing time depends on file size, page count, and complexity. Files with many pages, high-resolution images, or complex formatting may take longer to process. Your device's performance also affects processing speed.

The tool says my PDF is corrupted. What should I do?

Try opening your PDF in a PDF viewer first to ensure it's valid. If it opens correctly, try refreshing the page and uploading again.

Why can't I download my processed file?

Ensure your browser allows downloads and check if you have sufficient storage space. Try disabling popup blockers if the download doesn't start.
